The Book Club is an opportunity to discuss books that we’ve read which explore grief and
bereavement. We will also look at books that examine subjects such as self-care and spirituality through the lens of grief. Furthermore, the Book Club offers the opportunity to explore what’s available at the TCFV Library.

Natasha Ballingall – a professional art therapist and bereaved mother – runs “Express Yourself Through Art” online for bereaved parents, siblings and grandparents who are members of TCFV.
Cook & Chat for Bereaved Men

It is open to all our bereaved fathers, brothers and grandfathers. Please come along to mix and chat with other bereaved men in a relaxed, welcoming environment. This event supports a sense of mateship and wellbeing, while dealing with your grief as well.

Walking Through Grief (3 Mar)
Please note new time of 9.30 am. A monthly self-care event. Light exercise and a walk along safe tracks in Canterbury. An opportunity to mix with bereaved parents, siblings and grandparents. Please bring hat, sunscreen and a water bottle. We meet at 9:30am at TCFV Centre, 229 Canterbury Road, Canterbury.
Canterbury Book Club
The Book Club is a social group and an opportunity to discuss any book that we have read, some books explore grief and bereavement but it’s not necessary that they do. The Book Club does also offer the opportunity to explore the grief, spirituality and self-help books that are available here in the TCFV Library. Unlike other book groups, we don’t need to read the same book. Everyone will be able to read their own choice of book and report back to the club. Feel welcome to bring along a book that you have found personally beneficial in your grief journey, or just come along and find out what others have been reading.
