When a child dies in a family, life as that family knows it is never the same. They learn to cherish the ways in which they can have their special child, sibling or grandchild remembered.
The Compassionate Friends Walk to Remember is a symbolic way to show the love we carry for these children. It is an opportunity to connect with other bereaved families and talk freely about your child, sibling or grandchild in a safe, relaxed environment.
We will be doing a gentle walk at Princes Park, Carlton Nth, followed by a service and a BBQ lunch. (We meet in a field just down from intersection of Royal Pde and Levers Street – keep an eye out for TCFV banners … please see map below.)
This event is free for TCFV members as the cost is covered as part of your membership.
If you’re not a member, you’re still welcome to come! It will cost just $5 per head to include the BBQ, drinks and tributes.
All family members and friends are welcome so please join us.
If you are unable to attend, but would like your child, sibling’s or grandchild’s name(s) to be carried, please contact the Centre to advise of names.
Travelling by Tram? Tram Route 19 – North Coburg, departing from Flinders Street Train Station, will stop at the intersection of Levers St & Royal Parade.
