We invite you to join and contribute to this Topics Around Grief workshop. Here, we will identify and discuss the terminology commonly used to describe experiences of grief and bereavement (e.g. normal grief, complicated / uncomplicated grief, passed away, completed suicide, etc.). What do we think of the terms that we hear? Which terminology do we feel particularly captures and properly represents our experiences of grief? Are there some we feel would benefit from review? Are there some that are definitely not ok with you?
The Facilitator: ANDREW WEATHERHEAD is the bereaved father of MAX and bereaved brother of CAROLINE. He served as TCFV President from 2016 to 2019, has helped drive the organisation’s community education program, and has facilitated a broad range of information sessions for TCFV.
