Are you wanting to improve your interactions with bereaved people?
Want to know what to say and how to care?
Interested in hearing people’s personal stories of loss and grief?
Death and grief is often considered a taboo topic. Many people have misconceptions about grief and say inappropriate comments or don’t know what to say, so say nothing at all, both of which can be hurtful to the bereaved and add to their pain.
Insights on Grief is a panel of three people sharing their personal, lived experiences following the death of their child or sibling and how the community can assist the bereaved in their grief journey.
What will be covered?
- Personal experiences of interactions with the community following the death of their child or sibling
- Knowing what to say and how to help
- Tips on supporting colleagues returning to work following a bereavement
Date: Tuesday, June 20, 2017

Venue: FamilyCare, 19 Welsford St Shepparton.
