Escapism: How does it help? How does it hinder?

August 24, 2019 @ 2:15 pm - 5:00 pm

  • This event has passed.

When our grief is so unbearable and overwhelming, we can search desperately for “diversions” that can provide some relief, however momentary, from our pain. When does escapism serve us well? When can it complicate our grief? What’s your experience? What do you think?

The Facilitator: ANDREW WEATHERHEAD was the President of TCFV. He is the bereaved father of MAX and bereaved brother of CAROLINE.

Feel welcome to arrive any time after 2pm to settle in, have a coffee and chat. We will commence the session at 2:30pm sharp.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Topics Around Grief sessions are different from TCFV support group meetings, focussing on a particular topic, rather than “where we are at in our grief”. If you are new to TCFV and the experience of discussing your grief, we highly recommend you first attend group meetings for a period of time, as Topics Around Grief sessions have a singular focus and cannot meet all needs.

For group meeting details, please feel welcome to call us on 9888 4944 / 1300 064 068
