When a child dies in a family, life as that family knows it is never the same. They learn to cherish the ways in which they can have their special child, brother or sister or grandchild remembered.
The Compassionate Friends Walk to Remember is a symbolic way to show the love we carry for these children. It is an opportunity to connect with other bereaved families and talk freely about your child, grandchild, brother or sister in a safe, relaxed environment.
This year brings a change in our walk route. We will be doing a gentle walk around Princes Park, followed by a service and a BBQ lunch.
This event is free for TCFV members as the cost is covered as part of your membership.
If you’re not a member, you’re still welcome to come! It will cost just $5 per head to include the BBQ, drinks and tributes.
All family members and friends are welcome so please join us.
If you are unable to attend, but would like your child, sibling’s or grandchild’s name(s) to be carried, please contact Karen to advise of names.
Meeting Point: Cnr Royal Parade and Levers Street, Carlton North.
There is plenty of parking surrounding Princes Park that is free on Sunday.
For public transport, take Tram 19 (North Coburg – Flinders St Station) from Flinders St Station (Elizabeth St exit) and hop off at Stop 17 (Stop 19 if coming from opposite direction).
The Compassionate Friends Victoria would like to thank the generous support of the following organisations for our 2019 Walk to Remember.
