Two One-Act Plays by Noel Coward

Brief Encounter – Laura and Alec become acquainted in the refreshment room of a railway station. Although both are quite content in their marriages, they fall in love and embark on a brief, passionate affair. Riddled with guilt, they decide to stop seeing each other. Their final parting is marred by the intrusiveness of a talkative acquaintance.

We Were Dancing – Louise, a married woman, and Karl, a bachelor, fall madly in love while dancing at a country club in the South Pacific. During the night, Louise wins her freedom and she and Karl quickly make plans to travel to Australia together. But in the cold light of the morning they realise that they have absolutely nothing in common.
